LEVERAGE OF OFFICE AUTOMATION IN A PUBLIC SECTOR ENGINEERING ORGANIZATION: PRE AND POST IMPLEMENTATION ANALYSIS

The role of Information Technology (IT) solutions is becoming prominent inorganizations to achieve efficiency and competitive advantages. One such officeautomation (OA). It reasonable judge the OA impact by comparative evaluation pre postimplementation scenarios. In this study, five key performance indicators (KPIs) affecting OAdecision were identified. Three them namely human resource, time, cost quantitative KPIs,whereas two KPIs, quality work control over processes qualitative. Analytical HierarchyProcess (AHP) was applied prioritize KPI‟s quantify their on decision. Boththe qualitative analysis demonstrated that there remarkable improvement in officeoperations, once automation decision had been implemented. Overall weight obtained for automatedoffice alternative more than double as compared non-automated offices. findings werehighly motivating public sector organizations Pakistan adopt automated processes.
